The Ugly: I had major back surgery a few years ago. My doctor advised against pulling the weight to cock my Excalibur crossbow.
The Bad: I bought a crank cocker, which works great. However, the last two times I hunted, I forgot the crank and had to pull the bow to cock. No problems with the weight, but I worries me every time I load that weight on my spine.
The Good: I found a killer deal on a Ravin which has a built in crank that I cant forget, so Im still in the game.
I can keep the Excalibur as a backup, or try to sell. Soooo, if anyone is interested, it is in excellent shape, extremely simple to maintain, very fast and very accurate, light weight, brand new string, will come with a crank, cocking rope, string changer, soft case and about 10 arrows. It currently has a prototype red dot type optic on it, which I would sell with it, but Id actually prefer to keep. Would sell for $650 with the optic, or $575 without.
