My back is pretty long, 23" or so. My Cabelas pack runs out of load lifter length and heavy loads put a brutal strain on my upper back and neck. Aaron has offered that a custom 28" Kifaru frame would be the cat's meow. I am tempted and might go that way though the exchange rate between the US and Canadian dollar is pretty brutal right now. I also like an External Frame. Would the load lifters on a Barney's pack offer me some lift?

There probably is not a significant difference in the suspension attachment between the Barney's and the Cabelas packs.

You may want to check out the Paradox evolution frame sold by Seek Outside. Their frame tube extenders go way above my shoulders and I have yet to need them as I am so short. Its an encased external frame system similar to the Exo and Stone Glacier frames.

Saw the title and immediately thought, "SO/Paradox Evolution."

Not that I'm tall, I get functional lift without any extensions and ridiculous amounts of lifts with... 4" extensions should get even Shaq some lift...
