Impressed with this tripod so far for its versatility. I can also use it for trekking poles, tent/shelter pole, shooting sticks, etc... since the legs screw off and they sell some really affordable options.

Tripod legs are thick carbon fiber and really well made. It weighs in at 2lbs, 12oz - but will double as a tent pole and possibly trekking poles, I’m still on the fence as far as using my tripod legs that way!

I’ve used it four times this year so far, and also used the legs coupled together for a tipi pole. It will extend to over 10 feet tall if needed! Trekking pole grips are $20, shooting stick conversion rest is $15, and package of threaded couplers (to make tent pole) was $3 for two at Home Depot!

Pretty slick setup so far. I’ll do a longer term review after this season, but wanted to post some pictures as I’ve had a few people ask me about it. Good luck this Season to all!

Any further info or thoughts on this?

The tripod system is solid. I really do like it. I’ve got several hours glassing on the tripod and it’s my favorite one so far. Haven’t used the legs as trekking poles although I could have and probably should. Used the poles to pitch several different shelters this season and worked like a champ. Got the most use out of it as shooting sticks on coyote hunts - more than 30 times.

All in all, I’m really happy with the purchase and haven’t even used it to its full potential yet. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

Any specific questions, just message me. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It’s worth mentioning the Field Optics Research warranty is fantastic. I broke my Bino adaptor(on top of the tripod) using it as a trekking pole coming down a snowed in mountain. Totally my fault for smashing it on so many rocks when I was slipping/falling.

I told them that and they said no worries and had a new one at my door in a couple days.

That's super helpful. Thanks guys! I'm trying to decide between this and the promaster xc-m 525ck. I really like the idea of the promax being able to help pitch a shelter. But the promaster is taller I think... I like having the option of the arca-swiss platform to maybe attach my rifle to it and use it as a rest. Need to do some more research. I really appreciate the info!

Looking to sell mine, just not using it.
Hey I am looking for a broken one, so if anyone has one that does not work. I will buy it. I just need the Center Nut off of it. It does not have to be the exact model, just has to be a Promax or MicroLite Thanks!
