We just started carrying this quick release Binocular Tripod Adapter. We saw it at SHOT Show and we were VERY impressed with the quality and for the price we feel it will be the "go to" adapter for sure.

The new GEN 2 Rapid-Release Tripod Adapter allows for quick and easy connect-disconnect of your binocular to your tripod but unlike others, it can't fall off!!! Will fit any brand binocular with a 1/4-20 connection. (usually hidden under a plastic cap in the hinge of your binocular). No QR plate is required with our 3-way base. Which as Arca Swiss, Manfrotto 200PL, and 1/4-20 mounting options. "Best adapter on the market" - says everyone!

The all new Gen 2 Rapid Release Binocular Tripod Adapter is here We went back to the drawing board and retooled from the ground up. Now made of Hard Anodized 6063-T6 aircraft grade AL, the new GEN 2 model still maintains the rapid release feature but is rock solid when mounted. We also added a third mounting option to the base. Now the base has three mounting options: 1) Arca Swiss direct connect on the sides, 2) Manfrotto 200PL (RC2) front to back, and 3) 1/4"-20 on the bottom. I just ordered one of these from Tract last week. I like it. I have no experience with the Outdoorsman stud and adapter, but this system from Field Optics Research seems legit.

This is a pretty amazing product with a fantastic price. I already have two different tier 1 bino tripod adapters, but eliminating the need for the Manfrotto plate is pretty attractive at this low price. Would reduce both weight and bulk. I think one of these is in my future, but I will wait and see how they fare "in the wild" before pulling the trigger.

I’ve used the gen 1 version for years. Works great. A little hard to disconnect it with cold hands or gloves on, but for the price It works really well. I can’t imagine ever needing anything different.

I use one as well, works as advertised. I recently upgraded to the Sirui VA5 and it locks into place solidly.

Used mine minimally but, works great. Swapping to an Arca Swiss head cut down on the bulk some and no worries about losing the adapter plate.
