Was the plan for this gun to be run with a suppressor or why the 20" length. I love my current 300WM, but I don't like lugging around a gun with a 26" barrel. What type of velocities can be achieved with the 20" barrel?

Barrel length is 22”. And yes. Was going to be running a suppressor at times and the rifle was going to be used in the back country with horses and mules. To fit better in a rifle scabbard. From what I have read on the 300PRC. It was developed for 18-22” barrels. Shouldn’t see much velocity decrease if any. But that really depends on the tightness of the barrel

You will absolutely see a decrease in velocity with the shroter barrel over say a 26". Will it effect accuracy? unlikely. Bump for a great caliber, these are not picky!!
