Very excited to be headed to Idaho for my first ever Spring Black bear hunt. We will be hunting out of our packs and a base camp, about 1.5m from or trucks, and heading out from there daily. We only have about 3.5ish days to hunt, flying in around 11:00am 5/27 and flying out at 2:00 on 5/31. Getting the last few pieces of gear together we need and then its off to the races. We will be hunting out of unit 33. Anyone else planning on hunting that unit, or have they in the past? Any tips wold be appreciated. also, there seems to be a lot of different creeks in the area and was going to bring a lightweight 4 piece fly rod to kill some time and maybe catch a few fish during some down time. is this feasible or will it be useless additional weight? feel free to PM or obviously chime in.
