I have searched and always found several different models being compared.
For a first time bino buyer...should I go Vortex Viper HD or Ziess Terra ED?

They are close in price and just need honest input on which one of the two are better.

will be used for archery... 3D and Deer hunting.
Thanks for the help!

I just recently compared the Viper HD with the Terra ED. The Viper HD was hands down the nicer binocular. I really wanted to like the Zeiss better since I have a Zeiss spotter that I really like, but they felt cheap and had the "toilet paper roll effect" when looking through them. The Vipers have a more comfortable view and feel more like a quality binocular. As a bonus, the Vipers have a locking diopter, which does not seem to be very common on binos at that price point. The only other one I was really wanting to look at was the Meopta meopro, I have only heard great things but couldn't get my hands on any.

I ended up buying a pair of 10x50 Viper HD's as a backup pair while my binos are being repaired, they will become my wife's primary pair when I get mine back. I could absolutely be fine using them throughout the entire season though, Just a notch below my old Meoptas.
