Slightly late post. Got this buck down on opening day of archery here in Idaho. First velvet buck!
Short Story:
Hiked in dark, started glassing, found a group, waited for them to bed in cover, long stalk, boots off in final approach, jumped at 10 yards, got them to stop with some vocals, range 51 yards, broadside, Mathews VXR, FMJs 340, Kudu Point BH.
Dead buck.
On to Elk!!!
