I have been trying to read as many older posts as possible, but I thought I would check if there have been in changes in suggestions. I am going on my first Colorado elk hunt October 9-15 of 2020. I want to be prepared for the weather extremes I might encounter. This will be a guided pack hunt in the Gunnison area. Right now I only have a few pieces of gear, so I am looking for any suggestions on pieces to add. Costs really aren’t a concern because I plan to do this more in the coming years, good lord willing. Listed below is what I have right now. I need a good pair of boots and some sort or rain pants for sure. Thanks in advance for the help!

I 100% agree with this one...These are life savers...strip down when hiking throw these on when I stop to glass. Great for when you are getting on horses in the morning and you are not really active / warmed up. I use these things all the time.

A good puffy. The LPP would be my choice. Gunny can get unbelievably cold. Some good gloves too.
