First Solo Backcountry Hunt - mental suggestions

I solo backpack hunt nearly every year. It gets easier in most respects the more you do it.

When after 4-7 days, sometimes I’ll hike out and go to the nearest town for a burger/whatever. BUT... I leave my tent/ sleeping gear on the mountain. That way, I HAVE to go back. No quitting, just a break. This year I killed my buck two days after a “break” of an afternoon/evening.

To pass the time, I read my bible app or a book, play solitaire and GLASS!!

Makes me think of Rinella talking about high grade fun. No matter how much the weather sucks or how hard it is to find game, if you leave early, you’re just cutting the story and the “fun” short.

Really like this post and some of the motivational thoughts
