First time elk hunter.

Hey folks,
I drew my first elk tag this year, archery cow in Arizona. The tag is for the unit I live in so I will be scouting all summer and should have a good idea of where the elk are hanging out. I shoot my bow a ton and will have it all dialed in well in advance. Anyone have any cow hunting tips? Is cow calling crucial to success?

I was successful. Thank you for chiming in, I was able to pattern movement and made a move on the herd. Full freezer!
