First trip to Colorado

On my way home had a blast!!!!! Hiked 15miles in 2days every muscle hurts!!! Saw 23 elk 6 mulies and one fat coyote. Man did I learn a lot!
Oh and Dotman I'm sitting at a resturant not driving this time:)

If you were hiking above 7000 in SE Idaho today, you were in 6-12" of fresh snow! We needed it, though.

The sideways one was taken as my wife leaned out of the tent. These 2 yearlings were chasing each other around until they ran up the hill and saw us. This one stuck around long enough for a pic.

That's awesome, BA. Still debating with the family if we will be going to hike/camp in CO on our vacation. Not sure if we can do two trips this year. I'm looking for my first glimpse of the mountains as well. Need to test my mettle.

First thing I learned MR is everything looks a lot closer than it is. If you think you can get there in an hour it will more than likely take you 2!!! It is worth the trip/$$$ the mountains are beautiful and putting your feet on the ground even for a short hike you will learn so much!
