Checking to see if anyone out there uses floorless shelters in the mountains of NC and VA?

If so, are you happy with the setup?

I do in TN. Love it. Wouldn't go back to a tub floor tent.
My only issue is skeeters in late spring through fall, but that's why they make Thermacells

Yup, I use a mountainsmith Mountain shelter Lt. Used it this spring in Pisgah for turkey with no issues. I had some pretty strong rains also with no problems to speak of. I plan on using it this fall for der. I forsee only the typical single wall tent problems with it getting colder. Mainly condensation on the inside but other than that I love it.

My only complaint with my cimarron has been with trying to find somewhere to set it up. Dense pine forests don't often have 11' wide open spaces.

Anyone have problems with ticks on the inside? Id be afraid they would get you since you have less clothing to protect while sleeping.
