FNG Checking in

Hello all. Just wanting to check in and say hey to all. I am currently gathering the gear for an elk hunt next fall in Wyoming.

I have been an avid long range shooter and deer hunter locally in the SW US for much of my life. This will be my first real hunting trip into the Rockies. My primary focus right now is the clothing needed for such a trip. I have always managed to get by with the cheap Walmart gear. Our weather is pretty mild and relatively predictable by comparison. We seldom see temps below 35-40 or rain during the hunting season so Wyoming will most likely be a big change.

I've been very happy with my Kuiu and First Lite gear. I don't have much experience with anything else. Good luck in Wyoming!
