I am a long time lurker but finally decided to join so I could post. I have been hunting elk for about 5 years now and still consider myself a rookie with lots to learn. My 12yo son and I head to his first elk camp next week in central CO. He has a 2nd season cow tag and I have a 2nd bull tag... my first bull elk hunt. We have a small cabin in the unit that we hunt out of so we will day hunt from there.
