FNG from coastal Ga

Hello all,

Just a newbie from coastal Georgia. Ive lurked on here a ton, mostly looking at reviews and opinions on gear. I mostly hunt the nasty swamps of coastal Ga for whitetail, hogs, and turkeys, but do manage to get up to the north Ga mountains for some much more demanding hunting a few times a year. Would love to get some western hunting in one of these days too.

Thanks for the wealth of knowledge everyone provides, and for most of the threads being informative and not just a big argument or chance to bash folks.

From GA also - did first trip out west last year, OTC - lots of challenges and the success was only defined by the experience but I’m itching to go back this fall and do it all over again. My advice would be to jump in, in whatever way you can and start learning through experience. This forum is great but it pales in comparison to being out there and doing it.

Ive hunted your neck of the woods a few times, Ossabaw Island to be exact. I love that place, never left there empty handed.
I’ll be up in the Mtns a few times this year as well.
