As the title states, been lurking for a year. Got everything setup to be able to post finally! Not sure what I did with all my time before I discovered all of this awesome content shared by such a quality community. Hunt whitetail in Pa with archery, rifle and flintlock. Got bit by the elk bug last year and had a awesome time in 3rd rifle Co last year. Got that bug baaaad now!

Welcome. What's the story with elk in Pennsylvania?

Reintroduced them in the early 20's I believe. Have a huntable population for a decade or more now. They don't issue very many bull tags, but if you get one you should have a really good chance at a stupid big bull. Seems like someone gets one over 400" most years. Chance of getting one of those tags feels as good as winning Powerball though.
