FNG looking for "first time hunting" threads

Been around here for a bit but now that I'm going on my first DIY mule deer hunt (GS UT Abajo Mountain) I want to read up all I can on hunting mule deer and how to actually do this. Last year was truck hunting and we ended up getting a deer but I don't think things will be as easy this year. Any good threads here to read through? I did some searching but couldn't exactly find much. Sorry if this isn't right for the FNG forum
