You guys are making me hungry! Planning on smoking these breasts and making pulled turkey tacos with the legs and thighs from the bird I got a few days ago

Not too spectacular, but Taco Thursday was tasty...

All the makin's ready to rumble....meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, onions, warm tortillas & a side of pinto beans w/jalapenos. Hot salsa & cheeses not shown.

Main ingredient is a shredded chuck roast that was marinated overnight, then slow braised in the oven with jalapenos, onions & various spices.

The finished product.....

Are you a professional? Damn impressive presentation.
Not really. Photography, and food photography (and cooking) in particular has been a hobby for ~15 years so I get a few decent shots now and then. Everything there I cooked, aside from the two cakes myself wife baked. Varying levels of effort went into the plating and photos which should be pretty obvious. She works for a catering company on the logistics side and occasionally I'll shoot some items for them but that's about as professional as I get. I'd like to maybe one day turn photography into a career if I could find a way to make as much or more money than my actual job.

Last nights table treat...my version of tequila shrimp with angel hair pasta & a mixed salad w/Caesar dressing. Not shown is the chilled glass of red zinfandel that completed the meal. I sort of kept track of the ingredients I used in case anyone wants to try it.

I stand corrected. Damn impressive cooking and presentation.

Brisket was on sale yesterday so I’m working on this right now. Trying something new, normally I don’t wrap but I let it sit in the stall for a bit and dropped it in a baking pan and covered it with foil.

I have stuff to do so I can’t tend the kettle. I’m cheating. It’s in the oven at 225 now…
