I like to work on my own vehicles when possible. It saves me money, and I know the work has been done correctly. Anyways, I always buy parts from Rock Auto when I can as they are super cheap and generally have most parts for most vehicles.

So I just bought some parts for our 19 year old and got a 5% discount code and thought I'd pass it along. Just put it in the "how did you hear about us" box.

Your RockAuto discount code 5751868451296908 will expire on April 16, 2017

No affiliation with them; just like to save money!!!

Rock Auto is awesome. I have a nice collection of magnets on the freezer in the garage. They send you one with each purchase. Nice of you to share the deal.

Rock auto has the best prices I've found and great customer service. I think my wife has been slowly reducing my magnet collection.

They will put some butt ugly cars on those magnets also. I got several magnets with Ford LTDs and put them on the father in laws garage door. Perplexed him for months on where they came from.

It is one of the worse aspects about living in AK. Rock Auto will not ship anything up here now that they are fully entrenched with Big Brown. I have to have them shipped to my Dad in ID and then he will stick a stamp on the box to get it up here. Gave upon RA in 2006.

I am building a tundra buggy out of an old toyota, and the small business off road parts specialists have no problem using a USPS flat rate box to ship their parts up here.

I'm right there with ya. AK might as well be a 3rd world country when ordering from many of those outfits. You might try RA again though. Their correspondence says they are shipping DHL but it comes Priority Mail. My last order was about a month ago.

Just experimented with a master cylinder for my project truck. The part is more expensive than the same part using NAPA, and I pay $27 for priority mail, 11 bucks less than the cost of the part. The master cylinder from several small businesses is placed in a flat rate priority box for less than $10.

Wish I would have known about this about a month ago. Rebuilt the entire front end in my F250 including ball joints, tie rod ends, drag link, pittman arm, and steering box....

Thanks for posting this. I went to Rock Auto's website and found the parts to fix my spare tire hoist on my truck very easily. For those of you with GMC's, raise and lower your tire periodically and shoot a little oil on the safety mechanism or you run the risk of having it seize up and get stuck in the up position.....this will of course happen when you're 20 miles from cell service and about 15 miles from a paved road. Thank god I had a come along with me and just ripped the spare off the truck.

I feel your pain on the front suspension. Last November I replaced EVERY wear part on my 2011 F250 fwd. Took me three solid days, a lot of sweat and some choice words, but I got it done and saved over $1K + in labor in the process. Now my truck rides like new. If you'll google "rock auto discount" before you make a buy, you can always find a code to use.

Ironically, I just had to use my own code. Driver door lock quit working with the key fob, so had to order an actuator. Hey, saved $1.27
