SOLD Brand new Colt Light Rifle just back from Melvin Forbes for his total package. It is 7mm Mag with brake. His stock, timney trigger and all his internal parts.

Only 7 rds fired. Forbes radial screw on muzzle brake. Stock is forbes 1 lb kevlar in black speckle paint.

LOP is 13.75

Talley 1" rings and weight is 6 lbs 6 oz

My orthopedist says no more mags for my neck even with a brake. It has to go. Had two neck fusions (C3-6) already, trying to avoid another.

$2100 shipped to your FFL
Buyer has first dibs on brass and bullets that are left.

No need of trade material, but heck you never know.

I was originally shooting at a bank at 100 yds to get a relative zero and had just moved to paper and 2 shots almost touching. Had 2-3 loads I planned on testing. Shoulder would not take it. Had a couple others and they all easily shot MOA with handloads, most 3/4 inch.

Well, getting a new, better/stiffer and properly bedded stock, better trigger and internals in the Forbes conversion is certainly going to allow that rifle to shoot much more accurate that it had. I have a unconverted CLR is 300 WinMag and that stock and trigger is shit compared to what you get with Melvins work. I'm sending mine in very soon to get done. Not a thing wrong with the Colt barrels either.....maybe not on par with a Douglas or Lilja...but more than good enough to shoot 1/2" to 3/4" groups with premium ammo or good handloads if you do your part. 2K is a good price point for basically a $3500 Forbes rifle w/o the $300 Douglas barrel and the 3 month wait time.
