It will depend on that user's settings. If you look at their profile you can see the last time they were online.

Any way to have threads show their start date? I don’t know how old threads are. It’s nice to know if a thread is newer or an old one brought back up.

Finally got around to updating this. You may need to clear your browser cache to see the update.

If the edit option is no longer available for the pm that you sent I would assume it has been read.....imo.
