Frame pack for short guy

I'm similar in size to you. Kifaru mountain warrior on a 24" frame works for me. I've never had any discomfort packing out elk quarters in it.

Straight or curved stays?

Mine are straight, but you should be talking to Alex or Aron or Frank as to what would fit you. Aron puts his cell phone out on the internet all the time. Alex fit my late season and he's very good at it.

5’6” 180 here. Ran a MR metcalf last two times I went to Montana. No overnight stuff and it squished down nicely and isn’t heavy. I would look used in the classifieds and try some stuff out. I found mine for 300 if I’m remembering correctly. Can always sell it usually what you paid for it.

5’6 using a 24” kifaru curved stay frame. I’m not up on the times when it comes to packs but my hunter frame has packed out a couple dozen animals now. The 24” stay height is nice, I wouldn’t do a 22.
