I posted this on bushcraftforums also but figured it is of interest.

Made me a frame out of a old frame I had, ilbe waist belt, made the should pads and back netting.
The frame done was 3lbs 13oz.

I have carried vetween 30 and 60lbs. This was basically made to cart my daughter around and gas cans, chain saw, wood and gathering hauling.

Having worn that same waist belt I can say that a kifaru belt is a significant upgrade if you find that one to be lacking.

I personally like this one better. I have 2 kifaru frames and have owned 5 kifaru, stone glacier and many other packs. I lack hips and this grabs my waist better. for me this fits like a lady's thighs where they are suppose to be.
