Crazy to think that just 10 days ago I was chasing mule deer in California where it was over 60 degrees. With the windchill this morning it was below zero here in Northern Minnesota.

This guy didn’t seem to mind the cold and was busy harassing a doe. Little did he know I was sitting at the base of an old Oak tree 200 yards away with a 129 Grain Hornady in the chamber of my Tikka. The little SST won. His broadside lung was mush and he only ran 20 yards before collapsing hard.

Congrats!
I was thinking much the same thoughts as my hunting went from 2 degrees for a morning low on Tuesday to a Friday high of 80 degrees.
