I just purchased a new knight disc extreme. I will likely be going with the Williams WCGS Peep, with a front globe as well. What height front ramp would be best for this setup?

My bighorn is at a gun smiths right now being mounted without a ramp you should consider that option unless you wanna build a half in spacer

Where would I need the spacer? Under the peep?

Is the issue that you can’t get a short enough ramp?

Yeah. People are struggling to get a short enough globe on the front, so they end up having to do a spacer on the back. If you have that issue you really only have two options. Have a gunsmith cut a dove tail directly into your barrel or use a shim underneath your peep.

I'd just go with as short of ramp and globe as possible and then if you need to shim the peep you can. It is relatively easy to make a shim yourself and a whole lot cheaper than having a gunsmith cut a dovetail into your barrel.

Looks sweet! I'm sure doing it that way is a lot cheaper than cutting a dovetail. You must have a friend though, cause I don't know any gunsmith who'd do that for $38. Seems like quick turnaround too which is nice. You can still make shims cheaper than that, but for $38 I'd definitely go that route if I had that issue.

He cut the part that slides into the ramp off and made it same diameter as the barrel used one of the existing holes in the barrel and added another it’s just a gun Smith here in town so idk what a different one would charge he chopped a barrel on my ar couple years ago for 150 so idk

So, did your gunsmith tap another hole in your barrel? Your globe has two holes. I'm assuming there are two screws holding it to the barrel, right?
