Gaitors, too small for boot wrap

So i bought some kutana gaitors last season to use on a western hunt, and found they fit perfectly around the top and calf, but they were too small to fully wrap around my boot tops. I was wearing a combo if meindl western mountain boots and meindl insulated boots, neither boot could be filly wrapped around by the gaitor.

Is this a sign i ordered the wrong size? Or are certain boots made for only certain brands of gaitor? Anyone else have experience with the gaitor fitting well around the top but not fitting around the bottom at the boot?

Did you look at their sizing guide?

Never had a fit issue with Kuiu, Kryptek and Kenetrek gaiters with my Kenetrek boots.

I did look at the fit guide and they fit me just fine, but they dont fit the boots. The sizing guides all talk about calf size, bone talk about boot size…unless that is what is meant by calf size

Edit: boot size is in there, i must have missed it big time. Dang.
