Think I could make that work? It will only see Georgia whitetail, no elk or anything bigger than a deer.

How would y’all attach it?

Personally I would drill through one of the main supports and run an eyelet bolt or hook through it. I wouldn’t use the smaller cross brace as it looks to be just a piece of angle.

I would replace the smaller cross brace with a more substantial piece of angle or channel. It's a little hard to tell what gauge existing metal is.

I would run a 2x4 or 2x6 length wise across several center pieces and then attach and eyelet or 3.

Not sure how redneck you want to get, which seems like an odd thought for a guy asking about hanging critters in a car port. LOL

What I’ve done in the past is use hog wire (9 gauge galvanized wire) to secure a 2x4 or 2x6 depending on span, across a few of the frames to distribute the load. Run the wire through the gaps provided by the ridges in the tin. Double wrap it and twist it tight so it don’t slip down the frame. You could use a self tapper sheet metal screw to keep it from moving as well.

Then secure your pulley to the beam between the frames.
