And if you think anything but your first shot was truly "instinctive" then you're kidding yourself.

You’re absolutely right...but I don’t shoot groups. I go roving in the woods and stump shoot with only one arrow and NO rangefinder.

So a test you can try put a target out at night it needs to be dark pitch black so you can't see the arrow or your riser. Then have a friend shine a laser dot on the target. See how you do when you can't see anything the true instinctive shooters will be fine, the gap shooters not so much. Myself I hit the target but it was a big target lol not even close to the dot.
