Garmin Explorer + vs Mini

I am in the market for a new GPS and between the Exlporer+ and the Mini 2. If you were me, which one would you get?

Explorer+ for the simple reason that I want to have a screen on the device itself capable of displaying a topo map. I primarily navigate/communicate via the Earthmate app on my phone, but I like also having a map-capable screen on the inReach itself. The slight increase in size, weight, and price are worth it IMO to have a map-capable screen on the inReach as a backup if my phone were to fail. Typing is also faster on an Explorer+ than on a Mini (although not as fast as on a phone).
