i dont wear mine all that often. i kinda charge it up before an event.

MTN biking
Hiking
Kayaking.

my watch is the Garmin Instinct, and the info i gather is sometimes the most interesting thing about the trip. (like when i get skunked fishing)

just last week, i figured out i paddled 8 miles for 8 bass. (i'm still sore)..i never remember to look at my watch to check my HR when a big bass latches on, but i bet it skyrockets!! if i note the time of bass, i could go back and look up at see if there is a spike on the charts that corresponds to that moment.

a good GPS/Smart watch is a great tool.

I really love mine. It's held up to an impressive amount of abuse from daily wear. I did put a glass protector on but haven't needed it yet

How do they compare to the Suunto Traverse Alpha?

Wayyy more user friendly and I believe better for day to day activities than the traverse at a way better price with the Instinct
