I have no affiliation with GearSkeptic or any products he mentions, but I came across a discussion on ultralight backpacking food on Reddit (Ultralight) that I think is an awesome resource.

The GearSkeptic discusses what light/ultralight food is, and breaks down hundreds of food options popular with backpackers. Also, this guy created a spreadsheet that accompanies his videos and will allow you to compare foods by brand, calorie, and serving data, and the full nutrition label with fats, carbs, sugar, protein, sodium, etc.

The amount of work this guy has put into comparing popular backpacking food is really outstanding.

Good stuff, I've always had a problem with taking too much food while counting ounces on all my other gear

Thanks for posting this. I was shocked at some of the nutrition/weight values of products I never heard of. Going to be checking them out.
