Gitzo GH1720qr 2-way pan head - $150

Cosmetic blemishes from being my go to head for about 3 years now. Works as it should, comes with 1 plate for now (I believe I have a spare somewhere around here). I changed my tripod setup is the only reason for selling

Promaster 522 CK w/ ballhead- $sold

Pretty much new. I bought this about 5 weeks ago and my wife used it on our coues hunt last month. Nothing wrong with it at all. Comes with the ballhead Promaster supplies with the 522/525 series tripods. I’m not a fan of the tripod (I primarily glass with a TX95 so it’s a little heavy for this tripod for my liking). Includes new in box all-terrain feet

PRICES INCLUDE SHIPPING AND PAYPAL FEE

I've been using the 1720 for 7+ years now. I'm always curious about other heads but find that the 1720 does everything I want or need!

Curious what you are swtching to and why.

Bump for a great underappreciated head!

I switched to a Promaster SPCH20. I really like the individual controls for pan/tilt and the tool-less pan handle adjustment. Other than that, the gitzo is a fantastic head.

I run a gitzo 1720 and love it. My primary use for it is to put my lowa 884 on something for a better look. It is smooth and solid when locked down.
For searching with the spotter I prefer my outdoorsmans regular panhead with the separate pan and tilt controls. Much nicer for gridding..
The gitzo is a fabulous head. Good luck with your sale.

The Gitzo birding heads, the GH1720 and the older G2180, are the best lightweight fluid heads you can buy to handle a big optic. Use with a Manfrotto 501PLONG video plate to balance the scope.

Anyone want to spend some of those federal funds on a good pan head?
