Thinking about getting a Sheep Tarp and a light bivy for this next season. There were a few times I'd get several miles from my Megatarp camp and I'd be hiking back in the dark. Not a big deal but I'd like the option to just set a quick camp for a night.

Kinda looking at the Goat Kestrel Bivy. Something really light that wouldn't add too much weight to my main camp setup.

Will it fit a wide xtherm and a 20 degree Kifaru slick bag? How's the quality?

I'd almost just run this but after last season in snow I won't leave without being ready for some white stuff.

Or any other recommendations for a UL bivy? Just something to keep the dew or splatter off.

I think a light bivy and the new zippered Woodie Kifaru is working on would be sweet for spiking!

Yeah, creep on Snyder's Facebook! Could zip it around your legs when your glassing or use it as a kinda sleeping bag.

Great experiences with the Borah Gear bivy - super light and added some wind and water resistance under my tarp.
