Well, I've lurked around here a little bit here and there, but after tagging along on a Mule Deer in Colorado 2 years ago, and a 9 day camping road trip with the wife through NM, CO, UT, WY, ID, & MT... I'm getting motivated to do it myself.
I've killed a few deer in western Oklahoma, but I've mostly been a quail hunter (with a chunk of field trialing) and taking up fly fishing in the past few years.
But I've always loved the mountains, and been a pretty serious camper. I'm deciding it's time to combine the two (or three, or four... Fly rods and bird dogs travel pretty well!)
I'm in the process of planning an antelope hunt in Wyoming to get started. Should be a nice fall escape from Oklahoma.
