Its here! Be safe guys, especially you guys coming from out of state and might be unfamiliar with the mountains. Dont do dumb shit! The mountains have claimed 3 people in my local area this past week. (non hunting, but still)
1. Let people (non hunting family) know where you will be exactly!
2. Make sure you drink enough water. If you start feeling sick, drop in elevation before it gets much worse.
3. Dont forget to hide your food under your pillow so the bears cant get to it.

Exactly!!! My brother is bringing his 10mm Glock to Montana this year, for our first elk hunt. I'm thinking about bringing a lightweight 22.

One shot to his kneecap and I'll get away clean.

My partner broke his ankle 5 weeks ago. I can stroll at a brisk pace and be safe lol.
