Google Earth. what a useful tool!!

i spend a lot of time on GE. its fantastic.

i find out where mystery hiking trails end. hopefully they end in big pastures of dumb elk, but no. that rarely happens. but i have found watering holes and shortcuts.

fishing? wow. i have searched and searched the CA Delta on Google Earth. i have found some youtubers secret spots by accidentally noticing some landmarks. it is the best way to find kayak launch spots.

i LOVE google earth.

any tips or stories? about virtual scouting?

It’s very powerful. One thing I like is the ability to create a track and view the elevation profile. Very useful for understanding how much work it will be to get to a specific area.
