Got my buck from this archery season back! Notice the string holding him up 😂!!
I just wanted him to look decent until I get my pivot mount to hang him on the wall. My taxidermist did such a good job. He is exactly how I remember him. He even got my bucks dredlocks (remaining velvet hanging) fixed perfectly! I honestly teared up when I saw him last night. So much time and work went in to this buck. He is my biggest achievement and represents so many days of planning, wondering, and flat out stress!! He made me a better hunter. Tower is mine! Hope you all enjoy the pics!

Nice looking mount - impressive collection you have!
Thanks so much. I need to get the rest of my bucks hung up. It’s crazy to think back to 2013 when I decided I wanted to hunt big deer and I wondered what my success would look like or if I would ever kill one. 2013 I didn’t punch a tag and in 2014 I got my first 186 typical. He kicked off my passion. He is the buck on the far right of the image. The next one to the left is my second big buck killed in 2015. Then far left is my first archery buck from 2019 when I started bow hunting. Between 2015 and 2019 I killed three other big bucks and one 30 incher that doesn’t score. I love big bucks so much. Hahaha

That collection rivals mine and I have been hunting mule deer since the 80s. I think your success rate far exceeds the average lol.

I still have a passion for big deer but my goals have really changed through the years. I shot a 217" buck 6 years ago and have since started to pursue different characteristics like height, width, etc. Next year I am looking for the widest buck on the mountain and will hope I have the patience to pass until I find him.

You have some great looking bucks and you have had an awesome run on deer. Congrats! Do you, by chance, need a hunting partner? 😀

BTW - I wonder if the guy on the TV screen shoots a 6.5 Creedmoor?
