This guy was spotted in the Blackwater Canyon.

It has been confirmed that he was present on at least three deer kills; however, the extent of his involvement is still under investigation.

It is likely that he came from Canada. He may be related to the wolves shipped to Idaho.

Liar. That's clearly a black panther

Based on the number of sightings I have heard about, I would not be surprised if West Virginia had the highest concentration of “black panthers” in the lower 48. This possibility is somewhat frustrating to me because I have yet to see one, despite my prowess in the woods😀

I did have a fisher come hopping/bounding by me once. I sometimes wonder if these dark-furred, almost feline-looking critters might account for a few of the panther reports.

The alleged black panther sightings are common in East TN as well. My grandfather claimed to have shot one, but buried it before anyone saw it. I have my doubts...
