Residents don't even need a tag in most any area.

So, to answer your question, not hard.

If you're a non-resident without any close relatives that are AK residents, it's as simple as writing a check for $14k+ to your outfitter of choice, $160 for a hunting license, and $1k for a griz tag.

Or become a resident.
