GT Airstrike breaking?

Wondering if anyone else is having, or have had issues with gold tip airstrike breaking about 2/3’s way up the shaft? Expensive arrows to run that risk. Pro shop told me they are brittle. Have switched to RIP TKO elites since and so far so good.

Something seems wrong with that. Gt arrows are pretty durable. The older gold tips 12+ years ago weren't. The other nice thing about gold tip is they don't have a memory.

I have also spine tested a whole bunch of arrows then placed them in a freezer and measured the difference in spine after sitting in 5 degrees for several hours. Gt remained consistent from 70-5 degrees. Some others did too, must most didn't.

I’ve been using the Airstrikes (300 spine, Their collar and stainless inserts, 30”;70#) as well as a few others like RIP TKO’s and Sirius Apollo’s. The Airstrike have been just as durable. I have not done any destructive testing on them, just used them to shoot targets, 3D and Hunting and they have held up as good as the others.
