I am shooting a Diamond Iceman FLX at 70-71lbs and my current arrows are cut at 27.5" (could be up to an inch shorter). My question is should I go with the 400 or the 300s? According to their chart I am right on the edge of the 400s but its a big jump to the 300s?
Why don't they make a 340 or 350???

I have been shooting the CX Maxima 350s and they have been good just trying to see what else is out there. Also looked at the black eagle deep impacts but I like that I can find the GT Kinetics locally.

I ran your #s through SFAX/OT2 and assuming your draw is 28 (100gr tips, etc.), you're right in between the 300s and 400s. Your dynamic spine is right at .347 with those assumptions. So the 340s would be good for you, if they made them. Add another 100 grains up front and you'd be dead on at .304, and have 17.8% FOC. If you're set on the kinetics, I'd go with the 300s at the normal assumptions. 400s are way underspined. Better over than under.

Thanks Lukem - I was leaning that way but just seemed like a pretty big jump. It would be an easy choice if they did make the 340....

300's should work well. Stiffer is better in my opinion. You really cant have too stiff of an arrow when shooting a release
