Gtx waterproof?

I’m taking a pair of crispi Nevada’s to Canada next year and I’m wondering how long they will remain waterproof. Some say they don’t do very well but I thought that anything gore Tex will remain water proof permanently. Any insight would be appreciated

I wouldn’t trust the Gore-Tex by itself to keep you dry. Treat your boots before you leave with the correct waterproofer.

@Chirogrow, the Goretex membrane can become compromised which can lead to wet feet. Treat your boots, as @4ester shared, regardless of Goretex.

If I pre treat it with something like the kennetreck cream would you suspect that i'll be good for at least a few weeks?

Yes. Though the efficacy is dependent on the condition of the boot and the environment the boot is used in. If they have never been treated do it now then watch for a "dry" appearance around the lace stays as a signal to re-treat.
