H1000 - price gouging!

Man I’ve been out of the reloading game for a while. Jeez it’s hard to find stuff. Currently looking for 215 Berger’s in .308 and h1000.

Found some h1000 but it’s $640 for 1 8 pound jug. Seems a little high to me! Lol

yeah, that's Gbroker type pricing, if at all possible I would suggest not buying at that price as it does nothing but promote gouging. Doesn't help though that you are after two of the currently most sought after components. Stay patient, deals are out there. Some powder shipments are starting to trickle in.

Yeah, I sure as crap don’t want to feed that fire. It was gun broker for sure where it was listed. I just need 8 pounds h1000 and about 400 berger 215’s. And 250 primers. Then find someone to help reload for this gun. Lol. Oh the joys and the fun!

Haven't looked at my manual but I believe Midway had MagPro for $250ish for 8lbs but I don't shoot my .300win enough for 8lbs right now. Did get a little IMR4895 from them as well.

Recently picked up 10 pounds of H1000 for $450 plus tax. Not too worried about the higher price as it’ll keep another rifle going for quite a long time.

Keep looking until you find what you’re looking for at a price you’re willing to pay.

H1000 and Berger 215s are the rarest and higest desired out of all of it.

Yeah, don’t remind me. I’m searching high and low. It’s not easy to find. I have some 205’s but only hanging on to those for desperation.

Oh man you are looking for the most prized unicorns. Berger just did a run of 215s but they went quick. Been seeing H1000 1lbs pop up here and there the last week but I haven't been able to snag any yet. I have had better luck scoring RL26 and retumbo.

I bought 8 pounds of it for $310 plus tax last week at the local gun shop. I know the manager and spend lots of money there. He called me when it came in. Short of building relationships like that, watch ammo seek and set alerts with the big reloading online shops. Don’t feed the gougers

Where are you seeing RL26? I could have bought 8 pounders of retumbo and H1000 in the last ten days but don’t need it I have h4381 showing up today but I haven’t seen RL26 in over a year.

Midway had H1000 show up a few weeks ago, I got the max limit of 2 one pound jugs. Then they listed H1000 again like 4 days later, so I went to get another 2 jugs and they blocked me saying I couldnt buy these with limits twice in 7 days. I was like, WHAT ? lol
I'm not a fan of buying single jugs and mixing lot numbers, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
To be honest I used to love doing load development, but this component shortage crap has soured me on it, as I have had to changed good developed loads in order to use available stuff VS what I used to use.

I'm not affiliated with this company, however I was able to get 4 pounds of H1000 and 4 Pounds of Retumbo shipped for about $55/pound. Not the best price in the world, but a lot better than gun broker prices
