Hand held scales - different almost every pull

Currently I have the LCA HS3 - but it’s the same as the ones I’ve had before. The reading for max pulled weight changes, always going down with every subsequent pull. If I let it sit a while, say a day. It seems to go back up.

Anyone know what the deal is? Just been curious a long time.

Yes they are all shit. I find the scale that goes on the draw board to be much more accurate.

I have a HS2 and it’s consistent. However, if you don’t pull the exact same, you can get different numbers. I think Dudley just talked about it. Any different twist or angle gives different numbers.

Agreed. My HS3 seems consistent enough so long as I pull almost the same each time.

I have an old spring type, it's consistent for peak wt so that's good enough for me.
