Something reliable with a double stack, then alternate with two Buffalo bore and one hollow point.

Glock 10mm. After the last post about the aggressive wolves I am carrying it for more than bears. I like the 14 round capacity.

I have a Kimber custom ii that I carry in a GFI Kenai. Loaded with Gold Dots or 230 ball. Not the common recommendation, but I sure feel better when I have it close by. And that’s more what it’s for most days.

If griz territory, then .44mag or larger

I have a S&W 610 10mm revolver and a 1911 .45 ACP full frame. I also have two Gunfighter Kanai Chest rigs (1 for each). For the 10mm I shoot Underwood Xtreme Penetrator 140gr, and for the .45 I shoot BuffaloBore 255 gr +P Outdoorsman ammo. I am confident and proficient with each; just haven't decided which I will carry. Leaning towards the revolver.

Glock 43 with some good ammo. Buffalo Bore +P or Black Hills Honey Badger. That’s the go to for just about everything. I’ve not Hunted in griz country, if I did I’d probably go with 329pd - ultralight 44mag.
If I wanted to feel like a cowboy, maybe I’d haul my colt Python around for a few days.

I have been considering the same with my Springfield 1911. The only predators I have to contend with are black bear, coyotes and the two legged kind. It would be for defense only so the semi-auto would probably be my choice for my area as we are not permitted to hunt with semi's.
