I have been planning a 2023 Haul Road hunt for a while now, and the original plan was to head up with 4-5 guys. However, everyone seems to be bailing, and we are down to just 2 of us. So, my question is, how much will this increase the costs? Based on my research, it sounded like the cost would be around $2500 - $3000 each if we had 4-5 guys. Shared costs include renting vehicle, gas, food, lodging. Individual costs are tags and airlines. I got my Alaska Airlines CC, so should fly free.

Any approximations on how much more it will cost if it is just two of us, and not 4-5?

Thanks!

Take out lodging unless you think you need that. You're flying with a tent, pad, and bag what is one or two more nights in it going to hurt other than save money?

Food, you're going to spend the same per person whether solo or a dozen people.

Fuel is all dependent on how much you drive and you won't know til you get there.

vehicle rental, with a smaller group you can rent a smaller vehicle that costs less.

I'd bet you spend the same if not less than you would with 4-5 guys.
