My son experienced a little trouble with his pop up 28.
With an antelope butchered and ready to pack we notice the pop up function was inoperable. The aluminum bushing that aligns the stays had slipped into the tubing. It appears only a dab of glue is responsible for the whole foundation of this design.
At home I ended up taking it apart and peening the bushings with a center punch for a light press. Then peening the outer tubing after assembly.
Luckily I had a reckoning to haul with.
