Heel cup

Is there any trick to making the heelcup more comfortable in my boots? The top of the heel cup just feels harsh and I can't seem to remedy the problem. It seems more aggreviating on one foot than the other. If I don't lace really tight then it rubs as I'm walking.

Try shoe inserts like Superfeet with a little more heel rise. I did this with my Kenetreks and they're more comfortable with less heel slip.
