Seeing these on promotive and wondering if anyone has reviews on them? They are catching my eye as when I order my sleeping pad I can save a few bucks on shipping if I throw them in at them at the same time.

Let me start by saying I don't have any personal experience with them. My local sporting goods store has been carrying them for a year or so and I was considering them last summer. The guy at the store talked me out of them telling me that out of 20 pairs they sold 19 of them came back. He said all 19 sets that were returned had some kind of failure. He didn't tell me what was failing on them and I didn't ask. Don't know how accurate his story is but it was enough for me to look for different poles.

I bought a pair last year from Dept. of Goods. I would not recomend them.
The pair I have failed on the first trip.

Sometimes when you pull them out to extend them from the retracted position the fastner that holds the lower section within the upper section would come apart.
Leaving you with two pieces and no way to lock the lower section.

I was able to temp it back together and fixed the problem with some super glue at home.

Bottom line, don't get them!
